In this lively one-day seminar, Kathleen Odean will introduce you to the very best recently published books for young adults in grades six through twelve. She will also share practical strategies, activities and tips for promoting the books and integrating them into your program.

In addition to great fiction titles, this seminar will introduce top-notch informational books, with a special emphasis in the handbook on nonfiction that meets Common Core criteria. Today's YA nonfiction is the best ever: lively, well-researched narratives and expository writing with great visual elements. These excellent nonfiction books work well in the curriculum and for independent reading.
